Story:

One day in 1958 coach Howard Bradley ended a practice by instructing his players to go to the spot on the floor where they expected to take the majority of their shots in the next game.  Bobby Jo Harris and Bucky Allen went to the wings.  Jim Newcome and Paul Schmidt went to the lane.  Reserve center Larry Bateman went to the bench and started taking 50-foot hook shots at the goal.  The incredulous Bradley asked him what he was doing.

"Well, you told us to practice shooting from where we thought we would be in the next game," Bateman responded.  "I expect to be here, on the bench."
